Every plan has every feature — the boards, live inventory, photos and documents, roles, branding, sales tax by delivery address, emailed invoices, version history and the audit trail. Plans differ by seats and by how much help you get.
Questions
What counts as a seat?
One person who signs in. Viewer seats count the same as admin seats; a company admin changes roles and adds or removes seats under Settings → Team any time, and the next monthly invoice reflects it.
How do we pay?
Monthly, by invoice from Stackz, in advance. Launch customers in 2026 keep introductory pricing for twelve months.
Can customers pick up and we also deliver?
Yes. Those are two boards. Each order picks one when it’s created, and both feed the same inventory and billing.
Does it email invoices?
Yes. The invoice is created with the order; tick the box and StockShift emails it with the tentative delivery or pickup date. Quotes, payment reminders, statements, credit memos and purchase orders go by email too, and so can a note to the customer when a pickup order is ready (a setting under Your company). Replies go to your company’s email address.
Does it work with QuickBooks?
Through files, not a live connection. Billing → Download for accounting writes the period’s invoice register, payments and customers as spreadsheets, and an invoice file in the columns of QuickBooks Online’s invoice import, each line on the QuickBooks product or service you choose. In the US, QuickBooks Online imports invoices only while its own sales tax is turned off, so there are two ways in: keep it off and name a sales tax item under Settings → Accounting export, so the tax comes in as a line on each invoice; or keep it on and bring the file in with an import app from the QuickBooks App Store. QuickBooks has no payment import, so payments are entered there from the payments file. StockShift doesn’t post to QuickBooks by itself.
What about sales tax?
StockShift works out the rate from where the goods go. A rate you add for that ZIP code, city or state comes first. Otherwise, when Stackz has turned on live rates, TaxJar’s rate for the address applies; without them, a delivery inside your home state takes your own rate and one to another state takes the built-in state-level rate, which leaves out city and county taxes. Pickups use your own location’s rate. Every invoice documents the rate and the state; registering, filing and remitting stay with you. Tax-exempt customers can be flagged with their certificate number.
Do we keep our data?
Yes. Export all your records as JSON any time from Settings; photos and documents can be downloaded from each card, and we hand over a complete archive on request. If you leave, we delete your data on request. See the privacy policy.
